Wireless Hall of Fame accepting nominations

The Wireless History Foundation opened nominations for the 2011 Wireless Hall of Fame. Nominations, which are due March 321, will be accepted in four categories: service provider; technology; industry associate; and pioneer. A candidate must be recommended by one nominator and two seconders. Nomination forms and guidelines are available on the WHF website at www.wirelesshistoryfoundation.org/Nominationform.html.
To date, 28 people have been inducted into the Wireless Hall of Fame program, which RCR Wireless News began in 2000.
“The wireless industry is fortunate to include many individuals in different fields who have made significant contributions to the industry. We are looking forward to selecting a number of them for special recognition in October,” said WHF board member Charlie Townsend, CEO of Aloha Partners II, who chairs the selection committee. “All candidate nominations will be evaluated based on the objective and consistent criteria established by WHF.”
Inductees will be honored at the Wireless Hall of Fame dinner Oct. 10 in San Diego.
