Peru completes registration of prepay mobile users

Lima, Mar. 02 (ANDINA). Peruvian telecommunications regulator Osiptel has announced it has completed the prepay mobile line registration process.

Of the 6 million mobile lines still unregistered at 1 march 2010, over 5 million have completed their registration by 28 February 2011.

The remaining 911,286 unregistered prepay mobile lines will be permanently disconnected, effective immediately.

Of these, around 827,769 numbers are with Movistar…..
