Press Release: Movistar's videoclub Imagenio to add Twentieth Century Fox films to their catalogue

Telefónica today announced the signing of an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment that will add Fox’s movie catalogue into Movistar’s videoclub Imagenio. Customers of Telefónica TV services each month may now view such films as “Night and Day” and other Fox titles thanks to the agreement reached between the two companies.

Through this agreement, Telefonica will have a wide range of audiovisual content, and expand its movie catalog with titles like “Night and Day ‘,’ Predators ‘, and  Wall Street 2 ‘.

The operator’s pay TV service has more than 788,000 customers in Spain and a market share of 19% since late 2010. This figure underlines the position of Telefónica as one of the first providers of such services in the country. Last year, the IPTV service added 85,000 new customers (+12.1% YoY) growth that underpinned the results of access.
