[Shenzhen, China, 16 August, 2011]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced it successfully enabled China Telecom to optimize its Shenzhen CDMA network to serve the 26th Shenzhen Summer Universiade.
As the sole telecommunications partner for the entire Universiade Shenzhen, China Telecom began to optimize its CDMA network in March to prepare for higher peak traffic during the event. To do this, China Telecom adopted Huawei’s intelligent storm solutions that can effectively improve network quality and subscriber service experiences. In this case, the intelligent storm solutions enable the network to manage ten times the traffic and improve the paging success rate.
CDMA network optimization also consists voice experience improvement and differential QoS(quality of service). Voice experience improvement ensures voice quality in the noisy circumstance, and differential QoS helps operators meet VIP’s communication needs and improves subscribers’ satisfactions.
Huawei also provides Qchat., a PTT(push to talk) service; throughout the event, which helps Traffic committee provide traffic control, traffic track services. Qchat is available to consumers with Tianyi devices and is based on the CDMA2000 EV-DO network. Qchat was first used during the 2011 Xi’an Garden Expo.
