DALLAS – RCR Wireless News managed to secure exclusive video interviews with a number of key executives and speakers at PCIA’s 2011 Wireless Infrastructure Show this week in Dallas. The insight provided touched on a number of topics impacting the mobile infrastructure space, including current carrier consolidation plans, public safety network plans and the current operating environment for tower companies.
–SBA Communications Corp.’s CEO Jeffrey Stoops stopped by the RCR Wireless News booth to talk a bit about the current tower environment, including some comments on how the AT&T/T-Mobile USA issue is impacting the space as well as the move by some tower companies to attain REIT status.
–Steven Nowlan, fellow of the technical staff at Motorola Solutions Inc., provided some insight into both the need and challenges of implementing LTE technology into a public safety network.
–TowerCo L.L.C. CEO and founder Richard Byrne provided some insight into how the leasing environment was shaping up in the mobile space as how carriers are dealing with network upgrades and how those upgrades are impacting tower operations.
