Recently, a number of organizations announced additions to their workforces, including Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, Millicom, Small Cell Forum, On-Ramp Wireless and Comview.
Dynamic Spectrum Alliance welcomes new executive director
On April 2, the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance announced its new executive director, Prof. H Nwana. Currently, the group is working to boost engagement on the part of regulators and government officials as a means to increase adoption of legal and regulatory standards supporting dynamic access to radio spectrum resources. Nwana previously worked as group director of spectrum policy at Ofcom. In his new role, Nwana will help develop and implement the Alliance's goals and recruit potential new partnering organizations.
Millicom announces new vice president
Also on April 2, Millicom went public with the addition of Klaudia Bermudez as its new vice president for channels and content for Tigo-promoted television services in Latin America. Before coming to Millicom, Bermudez worked at Sony and most recently held the position of senior vice president and general manager for channels Latin America at Sony Pictures Television. Additionally, administrators at Tigo in Ghana Millicom also announced Roshi Motman as the organization's new general manager of Tigo Ghana.
Small Cell Forum appoints new CEO
On the same day, Small Cell Forum appointed Sue Monahan as its new CEO. Monahan also serves as the company's director for GSMA North America and will work to assist the chairman and regional vice-chairs in daily duties. Additionally, Monahan brings a wealth of experience, including 20 years in the telecom sector in senior roles at vendors like AT&T, Verizon and Telcordia. Monahan will also be in charge of carrier engagement projects and recruitment, as well as managing interactions with partners. As part of her new role, she will also help further Small Cell Forum's Release Program to foster small cell deployment with service providers.
On-Ramp Wireless announces board of directors appointments
In late March, On-Ramp Wireless announced the addition of two new board members, Ivan Seidenberg and Richard Lynch. Seidenberg, former Verizon Chairman and CEO, will serve on the company's board of directors, and Lynch, former Verizon EVP and chief technology officer, will join the advisory board.
Comview welcomes new head of marketing
Also late last month, Comview appointed Kevin Simms as the firm's new director of marketing. Simms will leverage his 20 years of industry experience to further grow Comview's brand and connect with the organization's channel partners and engage clients. Previously, Simms worked with VoIP communications providers Enghouse Internactive and CosmoCom and also held positions at Adecco and Olsten Corporation.
