Accenture completes purchase of i4C analytics

Accenture has purchased Italian company i4C Analytics, which provides a software platform for advanced analytics in verticals including telecom, energy, retail, finance and manufacturing.
I4C will be integrated into Accenture Analytics, which is part of Accenture Digital, to expand Accenture’s offerings in industry and function-specific analytics. Terms of the deal, which was first announced in April, were not disclosed; i4C is privately held and headquartered in Milan, with several Italian offices and a presence in the United Kingdom.
I4C’s applications for telcos include analytics for marketing and sales and operations, including predictive analytics for call centers that have been used by mobile operator TIM, which belongs to Telecom Italia.
In discussing the purchase, Accenture emphasized the agility and flexibility of i4C’s Application Configuration Environment for developing turnkey advanced analytics solutions for verticals’ specific needs, supporting the quick design and building of applications for customer interactions or enterprise operations that can be fully integrated into business processes.
Accenture said when it announced the purchase that it “will use the mature platform to start building new, advanced analytics apps across the different industries and business functions the company serves.”

“Now that this acquisition is complete, we look forward to fully integrating the highly talented i4C professionals into our analytics business, and delivering – with greater speed and agility – apps to our clients that help them deliver analytically-enabled high performance outcomes faster, with more predictability and confidence,” said Narendra Mulani, senior managing director of Accenture Analytics, in a statement. “Digital businesses are data-driven enterprises that are equipping themselves with the tools they need to make informed decisions based on fresh data, and this acquisition means we can help them quickly build front-end apps that make that data easy to access, understand, and utilize as part of the decision making process.”
