Apple launches iOS 8 (RCR Mobile Minute)

Apple has launched iOS 8, the newest version of its mobile operating system. iOS 8 includes photo sharing and iTunes content sharing across devices, and it will let users add voice and video to iMessages. The new OS also enables health and fitness apps to communicate with one another, and with third parties like doctors. iOS 8 is also integrated with Apple’s new HomeKit software platform, which will enable iPhones and iPads to remotely control connected systems in the home, like lights and locks. Apple says iOS 8 is coming this fall. It will be compatible with iPhone 4s and above, iPad 2 and above, and the 5th generation iPod Touch.
