Dutch companies Gooee and Croonwolter&dros have signed a contract under which the former will connect more than 5,000 buildings managed by Croonwolter&dros in the Netherlands, onto the Gooee Building Intelligence Platform.

Gooee?s platform?unifies building control, communication, sensing & data analytics.

Meanwhile, Croonwolter&dros specializes in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and computerization operations.

Bas Ambachtsheer, President at Croonwolter&dros said: ?This is a major milestone in smart real estate. If people thought buildings were smart now, they are in for a shock. A system like Gooee, which integrates into our total proposition of ?getting-a-grip? on a building, will become a standard. I am pleased to say that I?m going to use Gooee as the main solution provider and roll it out across our portfolio in combination with a smart front end app solution from our strategic partner, Office App. But this is just the beginning. Implementing the Gooee platform, starting with BUILDVIEW across our estate enables us to gain visibility throughout our portfolio and offer clients an enhanced service with improved operational efficiency. Croonwolter&dros is adding additional intelligent software connecting to a standardised maintenance and asset management set-up.?

Gooee?s platform reduce energy consumption and operational costs with an overall lower cost of ownership, the company said. ?A subscription based model reduces upfront investment and aligns with short pay payback periods for landlords, managers and tenants, Gooee added.

With almost 12 million square meters being maintained and serviced by Croonwolter&dros, just a10% saving on energy alone would save EUR 120 million ($136 million) in costs over the 10 year agreement.

Neil Salt, Managing Director & Co-Founder of Gooee, said: ??The most critical element in a car is its software. Today, companies like Tesla can improve the performance and efficiency of your vehicle with remotely managed software. This is what Gooee can do for buildings systems that aren?t integrated and were originally designed for function versus efficiency. Our investment in technology & IP across wireless communications, lighting, sensing and cloud-based applications have now made this a reality at scale and Gooee is at the forefront of this innovation.?

In addition to bi-directional control of critical systems, Gooee?s platform offers environmental and behavioural analytics with its SPACEVIEW application and LIGHTVIEW; an IoT Bluetooth Sensing Network deployed via Lighting-as-a-Host.

Andrew Johnson, Gooee Founder & CEO said: ?Creating the first globally scalable, open IoT platform for smart buildings has taken five years of engineering and investment. Our vision was to create value for all building stakeholders with the largest aggregated dataset, driving actionable insights. Croonwolter&dros is the perfect launch partner in the Netherlands with an aligned vision that an operating system for buildings is the future of infrastructure and asset management, all managed from the cloud in a ?Single-Pane View??.

Gooee?s IoT partners includes Aurora Lighting, Dell, Tridium, Nordic Semiconductor, Pointgrab, Xovis, Vodafone, Feilo Sylvania, Interlight and HumbleBuildings.
