CALGARY, Alberta-Wireless location service provider Cell-Loc Inc. and InfoSpace Inc., a provider of infrastructure services for wireless devices, reported an agreement the companies say will result in the speedy rollout of advanced location-based wireless Internet services to mobile-device users in North America.
Through the agreement, Cell-Loc will work with InfoSpace to integrate Cell-Loc’s wireless location-sensitive technology with InfoSpace’s integrated suite of commerce, communications and information services.
“In order to realize the full potential of mobile commerce, Internet technology must be leveraged to drive customer traffic to traditional brick-and-mortar retailers and service companies, where 90 percent of consumer spending flows,” explained Naveen Jain, chairman and chief strategist for InfoSpace.
