SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Intel Corp. has renamed its upcoming mobile computing technology that will extend wireless capabilities to notebook computers using 802.11 technology.
Centrino mobile technology, formerly called Banias, is slated to debut in the first half of this year. “The Centrino brand signifies a new generation of mobile PCs that will change where and how people compute,” said Pam Pollace, vice president and director of Intel’s corporate marketing group.
