BEAVERTON, Ore.-Tektronix Inc. announced the latest addition to its family of test products, launching its portable 3G troubleshooting and network optimization solution, the PC-based NSA 18, a next-generation UMTS UTRAN protocol analysis platform that enables deployments of triple play services over UMTS radio access networks.
Tektronix said its NSA 18 solution is flexible and scalable. In addition, the company said that the NSA 18’s automated analysis algorithms, integrated auto-configuration and ease of use reduces the time required to perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on complex, multi-port and multi-protocol problems.
“In today’s market, where new technologies add complexity and at the same time margins continue to tighten, customers need fast, flexible and cost-effective solutions in order to meet demand and maintain profitability,” said Alois Hauk, vice president and general manager of Monitoring and Protocol Testing at Tektronix. “The new Tektronix NSA 18 monitoring is designed to enable customers to meet the challenges of 3G operations with reduced acquisition and upgrade costs. NSA 18 provides a complete, portable and powerful solution for the optimization and troubleshooting of UMTS Radio Access Networks.”
