LISBON, Portugal-Vodafone Group plc said it launched two-way video calling between PCs and third-generation phones to its subscribers in Portugal.
The company said its 4 million or so customers can link their cell phone number with their PC, thus allowing them to receive and place video calls via their PC-even if they don’t have a 3G phone.
Nortel Networks Ltd. said its Converged Fixed/Wireless Broadband Video solution is the foundation of Vodafone’s new Web Video Calling service.
Vodafone has not announced additional launch plans for Web Video Calling Service.
