LAS VEGAS—Action Engine Corp. reported a pair of high-profile multimedia partnerships.
The first deal is with MSNBC.com and calls for the launch of a beta mobile new service featuring an advertising business model that allows the service to be provided free to users. The service will include video and banner advertisements and provide consumers with access to MSNBC.com news, videos and pictures from their wireless devices.

Microsoft Corp.’s Windows Mobile and Embedded Devices Division is the exclusive advertising sponsor for the service launch.
Action Engine also reported that it was selected by TiVo Inc. as the technology provider to power the TiVo Mobile entertainment service. The applications, which was built using Action Engine’s Mobile Application Platform, is designed to extend TiVo’s digital video recording capabilities by allowing customers to identify and schedule the recording of television programs from their wireless phones.
