MANDEVILLE, La.-Mobile technology company Smart-Traveler Solutions Inc. is teaming with Amber Alert broadcaster Code Amber to bring the child abduction alerts to mobile devices.
The free offering allows users to receive text messages with information including a description of the vehicle used in an abduction. Code Amber delivers alert information directly to more than 1 million subscribers, including media outlets and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States and Canada.
“The public has embraced our system and we will continue to answer their demands,” said Bryant Harper, president and founder of Code Amber. “We expect thousands to sign on these first few days.”
