Kenyan operator to use VectaStar platform

CAMBRIDGE, U.K.-Kenyan company SimbaNet said it has agreed to offer high-speed data delivery to customers in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu using VectaStar platform.

VectaStar is based in Cambridge, U.K.

SimbaNet said it will use VectaStar’s multi-service platform to deliver such Internet services as distance learning and e-commerce, virtual private networks and backhaul. Customers include Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Power and Lighting, Charterhouse Bank, Southern Credit Bank, Paramount Bank, University of Nairobi, Triton Oil Group and others.

“Our Kenyan customers are demanding more and more from us, they want all the services from one operator, they want reliability and they want it now,’ said Ajit Jatania, director at SimbaNet.
