TORONTO-Wireless Age Communications Inc. said it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Mmwave Technologies Inc.
Specific details of the proposed merger have not been disclosed, however Wireless Age said the acquisition is expected to be a stock-for-stock transaction and should close in March.
Mississauga, Ontario-based Mmwave is a distributor and systems integrator of wireless, microwave and fiber-optic components, test systems and subsystems. The company is a member of the WiMAX forum.
Brad Poulos, president of Mmwave, will become president of the newly merged company. He also will be appointed to Wireless Age’s board of directors. Glenn Poulos will become president of Mmwave.
