ICOA adds hot spot at Oakland port

WARWICK, R.I.-Neutral host wireless broadband network provider ICOA Inc. reported that its iDockUSA division has launched its 40th Marina Wi-Fi hot spot at Almar Marina’s Central Basin of the Port of Oakland, Calif., and that it plans to expand coverage over the entire Port of Oakland marina facility during the first quarter of this year.

ICOA noted that iDockUSA currently provides coverage to more than 20,000 slips with broadband wireless coverage and that the expansion at the Port of Oakland will add more than 400 additional slips when completed. The company also provides Wi-Fi access at more than 30 marinas along the West Coast and has roaming agreements extending coverage to the Northwest and British Columbia.

Pricing for the service begins at $8 per day, or users can purchase monthly access beginning at $30 per month with a three-month minimum.
