CALGARY, Alberta-Chartwell Technology Inc. raised $10 million by selling more than 2 million shares in private placement, the mobile software and content provider announced Friday.
Chartwell sold the shares for $4.65 per common share to a group of underwriters led by Clarus Securities Inc. The Canadian company also granted the underwriters an option to buy up to $1 million more at the same price prior to the deal’s closing, which is expected within three weeks.
Proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, Chartwell said.<
