WASHINGTON-The chief executive officer of First Cellular of Southern Illinois, Terry Addington, will be the 2005 chairman of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association, CTIA announced.
Addington has been serving as vice chairman. He replaces Scott Ford, president and CEO of Alltel. Ford will continue on CTIA’s board as chairman emeritus.
The CTIA board also elected Len Lauer, Sprint PCS president and chief operating officer, as vice chairman; Cindy Christy, Lucent Mobile Solutions president, as secretary; and Michael Kalogris, Triton PCS CEO, as treasurer.
Joining the board are Wirt Yerger, manager and president of American Wireless License Group; David Eisenberg, senior vice president of ACS Wireless Partner; Vernon Irvin, executive vice president and general manager of Verisign Communications Services; E.Y. Snowden, president and CEO of Boston Communications Group; Dan Hoskins, senior vice president of Intrado; Suzane DelBene, corporate vice president of Microsoft Corp.; and Jim Voelker, chairman and CEO of InfoSpace Mobile.
Snowden was also elected to the board of the Wireless Foundation, CTIA’s charitable organization.
