NEW YORK-Fashion magazine Vogue and Samsung Telecommunications America announced a long-term partnership designed to promote technology as an essential component to style.
The partnership includes a co-marketing program, including a highly targeted high-fashion advertising campaign, exclusive promotional and multimedia content partnerships with Style.com and designers, as well as an outreach to the fashion elite, said the companies.
As part of the campaign, Samsung and Vogue have partnered with designer Diane von Furstenberg to create a limited-edition designer phone, DVF Mobile by Samsung. The phone includes camera and camcorder capabilities as well as exclusive multimedia content, including signature screensavers and voice tones.
“The mobile phone has become a part of today’s lifestyle and a part of a woman’s body language,” said von Furstenberg. “When Samsung asked me to design a phone, I wanted to develop something that was fun, stylish and practical.”
