HELSINKI—Nokia Corp.’s new Nokia Remote Camera wireless home monitoring solution features an integrated motion detector and video capture with sound.
The product includes a digital camera with zoom, video and audio capture, a GSM transceiver, multimedia messaging service technology and Bluetooth. It is capable of sending images or videos to MMS-enabled Nokia Series-60 handsets or e-mail addresses when it detects motion, at pre-defined intervals or when a query is sent to it. It can also track and report temperatures.
The device should be available in the fourth quarter in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific for around $550.
