MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-VeriSign Inc. released new services that it says simplifies global roaming for wireless operators and their customers.
The company’s Protocol Interworking Services for GSM give GSM operators the ability to allow various networks to seamlessly interoperate by providing the appropriate protocol and routing address conversions. This lets operators support international roamers in their markets while allowing their customers to roam internationally, said the company.
VeriSign also is introducing the IMC Roaming Service Bureau through an agreement with International Mobile Communications. The service bureau option includes more than 150 GSM networks in 120 countries worldwide, said the company.
