SEATTLE-Mobile entertainment publisher Reaxion Corp. and software developer Hudson Entertainment will partner to bring hip-hop content to mobile devices.
The companies will produce ring tones, screensavers and wallpaper from popular hip-hop magazine The Source, as well as offering urban-themed interactive games and contests.
Reaxion is licensing Hudson technology to distribute the material. Hudson’s parent company, Hudson Soft, provides content for Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo Inc. and publishes video games for console systems.
“The Source is a terrific brand to take wireless,” said Misha Lyalin, Reaxion’s chief executive officer. “The teen and twenty-something demographic are the users most likely to pay additional fees for mobile entertainment.”
