LA JOLLA, Calif.-Mobile entertainment publisher Dwango Wireless has tapped M7 Networks, a wireless platform hosting company, to deliver short message service “wake-up” functionality to Dwango games.
M7’s SMS will alert gamers to developments, including initiating a chat session during a game or re-starting a multi-player game after a player takes a phone call. In Dwango’s new ESPN Bassmaster fishing game, players can cast a line and close the application, then be alerted via SMS when they get a bite.
“Network interactivity is the future of mobile gaming,” said Alexander Conrad, president and chief operations officer of Dwango Wireless. “Dwango is looking forward to working with M7 Networks to set the standard for the mobile gaming experience in the U.S.”
