SEOUL, South Korea-The W Seoul Walkerhill Hotel has implemented a voice-over-wireless local area network solution from Nortel Networks Ltd. and its channel partner ECS Telecom to enable mobile communications for its hotel management and staff.
“This is the first introduction of our VoWLAN technology in Korea,” said Soo-jin Chung, managing director of Nortel Networks Korea. “We were selected to supply this WLAN Internet Protocol telephony solution because of its high voice quality, convenience of use and ability to support text messaging, as well as the future-proof scalability of our WLAN product portfolio.”
Nortel’s WLAN Handsets 2211, which Nortel said provide robust coverage and clear voice quality as well as walkie-talkie capabilities, are being used on the network.
