MIAMI-Emida Technologies, which provides an electronic transactional network for prepaid services for the Hispanic market, said it has acquired the assets of Global Payment Services.
GPS provides electronics products to Mexican retailers, said Emida. As a result of the transaction, Emida now controls Red de Prepago de Mexico S.A. de C.V., which distributes electronic services to more than 4,500 points of sale in 43 Mexican cities.
Luis F. Triana, GPS’ president and chief executive officer, will join Emida’s management team as senior vice president of business development.
