PALO ALTO, Calif.-Agilent Technologies Inc. said five of its semiconductor components have been incorporated into Samsung’s new VM-A680 mobile phone.
The Samsung VM-A680 mobile phone operates in the PCS and 800 MHz frequency bands. It features a clamshell design and a large, full-color LCD screen, and allows users to record 15-second videos and shoot digital pictures. The phone also offers picture and text messaging, personalized ringers and screen savers, voice-activated dialing and a personal organizer.
The VM-A680 includes Agilent’s ACMD-7401 film bulk acoustic resonator duplexer, the Agilent ACPF-7002 full-band transmit filter, Agilent’s ACPM-7813 CDMA power amplifier for extended mobile-phone battery life, the Agilent ACPM-7833 CDMA power amplifier for extended talk time, and Agilent’s InGaN blue ChipLEDs, used for keypad backlighting.
