TOKYO-NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it planned to launch its mobile wallet service using the mova P506iC handset July 10.
The new service and smart-card handsets will allow users to buy train tickets, movie tickets, convenience store items and other purchases with their mobile handsets.
The new phone’s LCD display rotates 360 degrees for use at various angles. It is the first DoCoMo handset to feature a strobe light for shooting pictures in the dark and color correction for images using the handset’s 1.95-megapixel camera. It also allows users to combine audio with up to 10 still images at a time for editing and viewing as movie clips.
