BEIJING-Motorola Inc. said it has launched a center to research new wireless data services and enable operators to evaluate applications for their networks. Motorola has committed $3.4 billion in total investment in China.
The center, known as Application Center of Excellence, was designed with China’s leading telecom operators and third- party application developers, Motorola said.
The company said it also plans to “provide the expertise in providing total solutions, integrating platforms, content and the new services so operators can provide end-user experiences that delight their customers and help drive wireless data usage-and create revenue opportunities-on their networks,” according to Ruey Bin Kao, Motorola corporate vice president and general manager for infrastructure in China.
