Sprint nabs another M2M partner in Enterprise Fleet Management

Enterprise Fleet Management is working with Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) to bring the carrier’s wireless connectivity and new features to its Mobile Resource Manager (MRM). The Web-based machine-to-machine offering provides its mid-size business customers with real-time visibility into the whereabouts of their fleet and other resources out in the field.
In addition to monitoring, companies use the service to dispatch jobs, deliver driving instructions and text drivers on the fly. Since it launched commercially last year, 4,500 MRM units have been sold to more than 400 customers, the company said.
“Enterprise Fleet Management chose Sprint as a partner for MRM because they share our commitment to provide technology solutions that help our customers operate more efficiently,” said Tom Chelew, VP at Enterprise Fleet Management. “Our primary focus is on businesses with medium-size fleets, which often operate in a highly competitive environment where time is money and driver safety is a priority. For these customers, MRM can be a dream come true.”
