SEATTLE—WhitePages.com launched the beta version of its new mobile search service.
The service allows cellular phone and e-mail device users to access the same information offered to visitors of its Internet site. Wireless users can search for people, businesses, reverse number lookups, area codes and ZIP codes.
The company said the mobile site has been designed specifically for use on a wide range of mobile handsets.
WhitePages.com joins a growing list of mobile search vendors including Google Inc., Yahoo Inc., 4INFO and a number of others.
