ROSEVILLE, Calif.-Rural telecommunications service provider SureWest Communications introduced flat-rate unlimited wireless local calling plans. The plans, which require two-year contracts, cost $30 per month for unlimited calls to a customer’s own area code, $33 per month for unlimited calls to area codes within the greater Sacramento, Calif., region, and $39 per month for unlimited calls to anywhere in California while in the company’s coverage area.
SureWest also said it has completed preparations to comply with the impending local number portability order, and it will not charge additional fees to transfer phone numbers to any of its service offerings.
