Cellular amplifier provider Cellphone-Mate reported that it has gained Federal Communications Commission certification for its devices compatible with Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and for spectrum bands used by Canadian carriers.
The Verizon Wireless amplifier includes support for 700 MHz, 850 MHz and 1.9 GHz used by the carrier to support its 2G, 3G and LTE services; the AT&T Mobility also supports that carrier’s specific 700 MHz, 850 MHz and 1.9 GHz bands for 2G, 3G and LTE services; while the T-Mobile USA/Canadian carrier model supports 850 MHz, 1.9 GHz and the 1.7/2.1 GHz band.
Cellphone-Mate noted that the products target residential and home office use and are designed to eliminate signal interference, oscillation and increase signal strength. Pricing for the products range from $900 up to $1,215.
Wireless carriers have historically been averse to amplifiers, noting that such devices could cause interference on their specifically engineered networks, though that stance has shifted as carriers begin to embrace all options when it comes to maximizing coverage.
