STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Ericsson said it signed a contract for an undisclosed amount with Telefonica Moviles for its GSM 1900 MHz network in Mexico. Ericsson will supply the core network and at least 50 percent of the radio access network.
Ericsson said it is the sole supplier for Mexico City and other large cities. Deliveries of equipment for the nationwide network began in March, Ericsson said. The agreement includes delivery, installation, systems integration and adaptation of existing sites, as well as the technical launch.
