IBM releases new WebSphere version

NEW YORK-IBM Corp. said it has released a new version of WebSphere Everyplace Access software that enables a wide range of wireless devices to access such applications as personal information management and e-mail on open standards.

The company said it supports Palm, Linux, Symbian and Pocket PC operating standards.

“It offers customers in a variety of industries the flexibility to start small and grow to enterprise scale extending capabilities that help companies extend applications to devices to conduct sales force automation and field force automation,” said IBM.
