TOKYO-Access, a Tokyo-based embedded browser manufacturer, announced it will provide its flagship product NetFront version 3.0 for BREW-based handsets. Like JAVA, BREW is a platform that lets handset users download software onto handsets.
Many world-leading mobile carriers, including KDDI, China Unicom and Verizon, have been offering BREW-based handsets.
According to Access, Netfront has been used by 191 different types of products and 80 million handsets.
