Rural Cellular delisted

ALEXANDRIA, Minn.-Rural Cellular Corp. reported its stock would be delisted beginning today and would begin trading on the Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board immediately under the “RCCC.OB” ticker symbol.

Rural Cellular said it will reconsider its listing options in the future based upon financial conditions and stock price.

“In light of RCC’s record financial performance in 2002, we are obviously disappointed by the panel’s decision, yet we continue to believe in RCC’s mission of efficient growth and eventual profitability,” said Richard Ekstrand, president and chief executive officer of Rural Cellular. “As market conditions within the telecommunications sector improve, we look forward to reconsidering RCC’s future listing options.”
