OWINGS MILLS, Md.-Wireless enterprise company Aether Systems Inc. announced it will equip the 5,500-vehicle fleet of trucking company U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. with its MobileMax wireless communications and tracking product. The product will replace Xpress’ existing satellite-only system.
“The decision to switch from our previous vendor to Aether was made very carefully, following several months of thorough testing,” said Max Fuller, co-chairman of U.S. Xpress. “We have been very pleased with the performance of MobileMax, and have recognized substantial value in some of the system’s unique features.”
Trucking and fleet management have continued to be an important market for wireless enterprise applications, and Aether has announced several deals in the area over the past several months.
