International Wireless says it plans to buy Global ePay

WOBURN, Mass.-International Wireless Inc. announced it plans to acquire Global ePay L.L.C., a move the company said will broaden the applications for its patented barcode-reading software and help with online and wireless electronic payments of fees, fines and taxes to state and local governments as well as utilities.

“International Wireless welcomes the ability to integrate our barcode reading software, CodePoint, into Global ePay’s suite of applications to extend payments and data collection to wireless devices for the government and utility vertical industries,” said Catherine Blake, the company’s director of global sales and marketing.

International Wireless offers products and services for data capture, payment collection, debit and credit card verification for mobile-commerce applications.
