ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France-Wavecom SA said it has rolled out the first quadband GSM/GPRS module to cover frequencies in the 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands, enabling manufacturers to make “anywhere, everywhere” global GSM/GPRS roaming possible.
“Wavecom’s target customers include young and emerging handset manufacturers, who are able to offer handset products that are uniquely tailored for individual U.S. service providers,” said the company in a statement.
