SEOUL, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan-Samsung Electronics Company Ltd and Hitachi Ltd. said they have won mobile infrastructure contracts with KDDI Corp. worth more than $100 million.
“We will supply base station equipment to KDDI worth more than $100 million this year for its 3G CDAM 1x EV-DO wireless service due for launch later next year,” said Samsung in a statement.
Hitachi did not disclose the value of its contract.
