ORLANDO, Fla.—Cingular Wireless announced at CTIA’s Wireless 2002 conference and exhibition its plans to roll out its advanced wireless services in California by the end of the second quarter and in New York City during the third quarter.
Cingular already markets General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) service in Washington, Las Vegas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The company plans to offer GPRS services in all of its major markets by the end of this year through roaming agreements with other GSM providers.
