STOCKHOLM, Sweden—Swedish vendor NCC Telecom said Sweden’ third-generation (3G) license holder Hi3G selected it to provide 3G infrastructure. The agreement covers the construction of at least 500 base stations in Sweden.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
NCC also signed similar agreements with another Swedish 3G license holder, Tele2, in addition to 3G Infrastructure Services (3GIS), a joint venture between Hi3G and Europolitan Vodafone.
The Hi3G-specific contract includes project management, site procurement, project design, construction and telecom installations for base stations in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malm
