This confirms the rumor that the communications market analysts and stock aired for months in the country on a possible union business.
Comcel thus becomes the owner of most of actions that the Mexican company Telecommunications Services Holding SA de CV Telmex had in Colombia.
This transaction is after the purchase of Telmex International by America Movil, in June.
Company spokesmen said that the purchase reflects “the global trend of convergence in telecommunications seeks to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of the company, with the clear aim of providing more and better services and benefits to its users. “
Indicated that the purchase of Telmex Colombia by Comcel is part of the reorganization of corporate structure within the scope of the entities that comprise the Enterprise Group America Movil in Colombia.
