GoAmerica expands Compaq relationship

HACKENSACK, N.J.-Wireless data and Internet services provider GoAmerica Inc. said it expanded its relationship with Compaq Computer Corp. and will power Compaq’s iPAQnet Mobility Solutions for mobile computers over CDPD networks.

In November, Compaq selected GoAmerica as the first wireless service provider to support its iPAQnet Mobile Internet product on BlackBerry and Pocket PC devices.

GoAmerica said its offerings allow mobile workers to securely access e-mail accounts, intranets, corporate data and the Internet.

“Our expanded relationship with GoAmerica demonstrates our commitment to deliver a seamless wireless solution that allows our customers to remain in touch and in control while away from the office,” said Ted Clark, Compaq’s vice president of iPAQ Mobile Solutions.
