LONDON-Vodafone U.K. launched Vizzavi Find & Seek location services on its network. The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service allows users to identify where they are on a map.
The service also offers a range of location-based information, such as locations of restaurants, banks, sporting events and Vodafone mobile-phone stores. The service also provides local attraction information.
Vizzavi is the mobile portal service jointly developed by Vodafone and Vivendi.
“This is the first in a series of enhancements to the Vizzavi service, which will ensure that our service becomes an essential part of people’s lives, providing them with the information they need, however they want it,” said Geraldine Wilson, Vizzavi U.K. managing director.
