SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-By issuing approximately 1.7 million of its shares, Canadian Wi-LAN Inc. will purchase California-based UC Wireless, furthering its position in the global broadband wireless market. With the purchase, Wi-LAN will receive UC Wireless’ proprietary Versatile Intelligent Network Environment technology and their expertise in anypoint-to-multipoint network architectures.
