Littlefeet

Littlefeet Inc., a wireless network infrastructure developer, appointed Kai Cheong Chan as the general manager and sales director for the company’s new regional office, which will serve Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

Chan will be responsible for developing business relationships and managing distribution channels for Littlefeet’s SPICE products in the region.

Chan has more than 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Littlefeet, Chan was the assistant director of technology for the Infocommunications Development Authority of Singapore, where he was responsible for administering a $100 million development grant for planning and researching emerging telecommunications and information technologies.

Invertix

Edward Bursk is Invertix Corp.’s new vice president and chief marketing officer, where he will drive the marketing of the company’s wireless instant messaging and presence management offering, IM-AnywhereT.

Bursk has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications and the Internet. He has helped to market products and services from companies such as Datametrics Systems, Norel Networks, Netrix and Hughes Network Systems.

Prior to his job at Invertix, Bursk was a vice president for Worldwide Marketing and a board member of the Frame Relay Forum.

Verizon

Lori Pidick joined Verizon Wireless as director of marketing for its mountain region markets, which include Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Pidick will be responsible for marketing, communications, advertising and public relations. Pidick has eight years of experience in the wireless industry. Prior to her new position, Pidick held senior positions at NYNEX and Bell Atlantic Mobile, where she was director of marketing and communications.

In other news at Verizon, Gary Schulman will head up Verizon Wireless’ new Wireless Data & Internet Services Division, which will direct product development, deployment and marketing, as well as coordinate network infrastructure for the company’s data operations.

Schulman, appointed president of the division, previously served as president for the Mid-Atlantic area for the company, where he oversaw operations in Philadelphia and Washington. Prior to that, Schulman served as president of Bell Atlantic Mobile’s Washington region.

Netro

Sanjay Khare was promoted as Netro Corp.’s new vice president and chief financial officer. He replaces Mike Everett, who is leaving the company. Previously, Khare was vice president for business development at the company. Before working at Netro, Khare was as an outside legal counsel for Netro with Venture Law Group from 1995 until this year.

Conductus

David Short is Conductus Inc.’s new board of directors member. Short has experience with wireline and international wireless operating companies. He retired in 1999 form Airtouch International. Prior to that job, he was chief technical officer for Airtel Movil, SA. Short has also worked at Pacific Bell and with telecommunications companies in Japan and Southeast Asia.

ThinAirApps

Christopher Eliopulos will serve as ThinAirApps Inc.’s new general counsel and vice president of business affairs, where he will be responsible for managing all the legal affairs for the company while also assisting in developing and negotiating business alliances, joint ventures and investment transactions.

Prior to his new position, Eliopulos was a senior corporate associate at the law firm Dechert Price & Rhoads in New York City, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and information technology licensing and services. Eliopulos has experience with corporate law and commercial matters and has provided advice and assistance to business clients in a variety of corporate activities.

Symbian

Symbian filled two of its positions: executive vice president of sales and marketing and chief financial officer.

Thomas Chambers will fill the financial officer slot, where he will be manage the company’s financial and operational controls, information systems support and legal counsel.

Prior to joining Symbian, Chambers was chief financial officer at First Telecom, and before that he was the financial director of Robert Walters. Chambers has 20 years of experience of financial and management experience in blue chip companies in the United Kingdom.

Mark Edwards is the company’s new executive vice president for sales and marketing, where he will be responsible for commercial strategy, product management, licensing and managing commercial partnerships.

Edwards has 15 years of experience in general management. Prior to his position with Symbian, he was deputy managing director and commercial director for Psion Computers. Before that, he was executive and managing director at a number of blue chip companies.

Crown Castle

David Ivy retired from his job as vice chairman with Crown Castle International Corp. He will continue in his position as a member of the board of directors, and will advise on certain transactions.

RateXchange

Steven W. Town was appointed to RateXchange Corp.’s board of directors. Town is the co-chief executive officer at Amerex Natural GAs, Power and Bandwidth. Town joined Amerex futures and forwards brokerage group in natural gas 11 years ago. During his time as the company’s CEO, it has become a successful brokerage organization in its fields.

Wildfire

Wildfire Communications Inc. appointed Mark Morrison as its new chief executive officer, and also created new executive positions and appointed new chief operating, financial and technical officers. The company’s executive shakeup is due to Orange’s purchase of Wildfire in April. Nigel Hall will be Wildfire’s new chief operating officer, Richard Ford will become chief financial officer, and Eric Shienbrood will be the new chief technology officer. Morrison has more than 16 year’s experience in management in the wireless communications industry through his tenures at US West Wireless and Nextel Communications Inc. During his time at US West, Morrison lead the company into the wireless industry by incorporating applications service providers, e-commerce and mobile commerce. At Nextel, Morrison oversaw start-up operations and helped develop a marketing program. Hall was previously the head of international project management at Orange, and has more than two decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. Ford was also at Orange, and has five years of experience in finance-related roles. Shienbrood will replace Richard Miner, who will serve in an executive position at Orange.

WatchMark

WatchMark Corp. appointed Todd Eliason as its new chief executive officer, where he will join the company’s founding president, Steve Roberts, in the chairman’s office. Eliason has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including positions at GTE Corp. and Contel Cellular Inc. Previously, Eliason was the president for the national operations market at GTE.

Western Multiplex

Christina M. Rulo is Western Multiplex Corp.’s new vice president of human resources, where she will be responsible for employee relations, staffing, recruiting and organizational development. Before joining Western Multiplex, Rulo was corporate vice president of human resources for Hyperion Solutions, where she led a worldwide human resources merger effort to include culture integration programs and policy and benefit redesigning. Before that, she was vice president for human resources at VLSI Technology Inc.

Certicom

Dennis J. Charlebois was appointed Certicom’s new senior vice president of corporate development, where he will be responsible for leading Certicom’s strategic partnerships, joint venture and mergers and acquisitions. Charlebois has more than 25 years of experience in technology- and software-based businesses. Before joining Certicom, Charlebois was DRS Technologies Data Sys
tems Group’s president, and before that he worked at Pittway Corp. as senior vice president of corporate development.

GiantBear

GiantBear Inc. appointed a new chief executive officer and chief operating officer.

James Green will take over as chief executive officer. Previously, Green was president of 24/7 Media’s Technology Solutions unit. Under his leadership, the company grew from 50 employees to about 450. Green’s other positions include those at Walt Disney Company, Buena Vista International and Pixar Animation Studios.

Scott Nevins will be GiantBear’s new chief operating officer. Nevins was previously the president and chief executive officer at ClientSoft. Prior to that position, Nevins was president of IWTGR Enterprises and director of sales and marketing at Forhan and Wakefield.

Motorola

Theresa Metty was appointed Motorola Inc.’s new corporate vice president and director of the company’s personal communications sector’s supply chain operations. Metty will be responsible for working with Motorola’s suppliers and delivering Motorola products. Before joining Motorola, Metty was at IBM Corp., where she held various supply chain management positions during her six years there. Prior to IBM, Metty spent 20 years at the Associated Sprint Division of the Barnes Group, ending her stay as a division general manager.

XO

XO Communications Inc. named Wayne Rehberger chief financial officer. Rehberger formerly served as senior vice president of finance at MCI WorldCom Inc. where he managed network costs, local interconnection and global procurement organizations.

graviton

Solomon D. Trujillo was appointed graviton Inc.’s new chairman, president and chief executive officer. Trujillo was a former chairman and chief executive officer of US West, and helped orchestrate the company’s merger with Qwest Communications. Trujillo now serves on the boards of Target Corp., PepsiCo Inc. and Constellar Corp.

Wi-LAN

Graham H. Smith is Wi-LAN Inc.’s new chief sales and marketing officer. Smith brings 25 year’s of experience to the company. He spend 15 years at Motorola, where he was most recently the company’s vice president and area manager for Canada. In this position, he structured and developed company operations, initiated and introduced business and strategic marketing plans, and influenced the direction of the company. After his tenure at Motorola, Smith was vice president of sales and marketing, and later executive vice president and chief operating officer, at Telular Canada Inc./Global Data Inc.

Verizon

D.J. Hulet was hired as Verizon Wireless’ new vice president of sales operations for the northwest area, where she will be responsible for leading the company’s integrated sales and distribution efforts. Hulet is a 23-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, and was most recently the customer service general manager for BT Cellnet in the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she was with Pacific Bell and SBC Communications.

Lucent

Lucent Technologies Inc. announced two changes in its chief financial officer organization: Mark White will move from vice president of planning and business analysis to senior vice president and corporate controller, and Jim Lusk will move from senior vice president and corporate controller to president of the company’s business services. White will be responsible for product units and worldwide marketing, sales and services support, while Lusk will manage the company’s critical financial processes.
