Clearnet launches prepaid service

SCARBOROUGH, Ontario-Clearnet Communications Inc. introduced Pay & Talk, a Web-ready digital prepaid wireless service for new customers and those who already own Clearnet PCS phones.

Clearnet said all Pay & Talk clients begin with a $50 airtime card billed at 29 cents per minutes. If clients renew with any denomination card before the account balance expires, the calling rate stays at 29 cents per minute. Customers who renew after their account balance reaches zero pay regular card rates of 29 cents per minute with a $50 card, 33 cents per minute with a $25 card and 40 cents per minutes with a $10 card.

Clearnet noted that because all of its phones have wireless Internet microbrowsers built in, Pay & Talk customers can take advantage of wireless Internet services for free until the end of the year.
